Creating and Setting Up an Account

1. Download MetaMask:
   • Visit the MetaMask Website: Go to metamask.io.
   • Choose Your Platform: Select the browser extension for Chrome, Firefox, or another supported browser, or download the mobile app from the App Store or Google Play.
2. Install MetaMask:
   • For Browser: Click “Download” and follow the prompts to install the extension.
   • For Mobile: Open the app store, search for MetaMask, and install it.
3. Open MetaMask:
   • Browser: Click the MetaMask icon in your browser’s toolbar.
   • Mobile: Open the MetaMask app.
4. Create a New Wallet:
   • Click “Get Started.”
   • Select “Create a Wallet.”
5. Set Up a Password:
   • Enter a strong password to secure your wallet.
   • Confirm the password and click “Create.”
6. Backup Your Seed Phrase:
   • You’ll receive a 12-word recovery phrase. Write it down and store it securely.
   • Click “Next” to proceed.
7. Confirm Your Seed Phrase:
   • Select the words of your seed phrase in the correct order to confirm you’ve backed it up.
8. Complete Setup:
   • Once confirmed, your MetaMask wallet is set up! You’ll see your wallet dashboard.

Buying Crypto on MetaMask

1. Open Your Wallet:
   • Log in to your MetaMask wallet using your password.
2. Click on “Buy”:
   • On your wallet dashboard, click the “Buy” button.
3. Choose a Payment Method:
   • Select a payment option (credit/debit card via third-party services like MoonPay or Wyre).
4. Enter Purchase Amount:
   • Specify how much cryptocurrency you want to buy.
5. Follow the Prompts:
   • Complete any required identity verification steps as prompted.
6. Confirm the Purchase:
   • Review the details and confirm your purchase. The crypto will be credited to your MetaMask wallet.

Selling Crypto on MetaMask

1. Open Your Wallet:
   • Access your MetaMask wallet and log in.
2. Select the Cryptocurrency:
   • Click on the crypto you wish to sell from your wallet dashboard.
3. Send to an Exchange:
   • Click “Send” to transfer your crypto to a centralized exchange (like Coinbase or Binance).
   • Enter the Exchange Address: Copy the wallet address from your exchange account and paste it into MetaMask.
   • Specify Amount: Enter how much crypto you want to send.
4. Confirm the Transfer:
   • Review the transaction details and click “Next” to confirm. The crypto will be sent to the exchange.
5. Sell on the Exchange:
   • Log into your exchange account.
   • Navigate to the trading section and sell your cryptocurrency for fiat currency.
